Hamilton Loses a Home Away From Home.
April 14, 2009
The news of Hamilton’s Pepper Jack Café closing at the end of May comes as a blow to we Subterraneans, and to the music fans of the city as a whole. PJC has been a cornerstone of the independent music scene in the city for eight years, and Ken & crew have been the greatest supporters of the Subterraneans over our time here so far as well. Not only has it been our favorite place to play over the years, but it’s also been the perfect place to go to check out some really great, new music. With an overwhelmingly welcoming atmosphere, and top shelf staff, there will definitely be a void on King William ‘tween James & Hughson. Get out to the shows between now and May 30th, and show everyone there some love, and let them know how much that place will be missed.
Join us for what could be our last set at Pepper Jack, this coming Friday, April 17th. Get there by 10, don’t miss a thing! Joining us will be our good friends Satisfied Customers & Gruve.
A massive Thank You out to Ken, Doug (our favorite Sound Tech ever) and everyone from PJC for EVERYTHING they’ve done for us, live music, and the City of Hamilton over the years. Cheers!
